今天，文化交流已成为推动人类文明互鉴的重要纽带。艺术作为跨越国界的通用语言，承载着不同民族的精神追求与审美理想，为增进理解、凝聚共识提供了独特的媒介。

值此春意盎然之际，由中国驻美国大使馆支持，江苏省中国画学会、美国艾比林基督大学联合主办的“以艺通心——中美艺术作品交流展”在源·当代美术馆拉开了帷幕。本次展览以经典中国画与当代艺术为载体，搭建起中美民间文化对话的桥梁，旨在通过艺术的交融，促进两国人民心灵相通，为构建人类命运共同体注入文化活力。

中美两国虽远隔重洋，但艺术的共鸣从未因距离而消弭。中国画的意境深远与美国艺术的多元创新，虽植根于不同的文化土壤，却共同诠释着人类对真善美的永恒追求。本次展览精选两国艺术家的80余件作品，涵盖中国画、油画、版画、雕塑等多种形式。中国艺术家以宣纸为媒，将山水意境、花鸟情趣融入笔墨之间，传递“天人合一”的哲学思考；美国艺术家则以当代视角探索材料与形式的边界，展现对社会、自然的独特观察。这些作品不仅是艺术语言的对话，更是文化基因的深层互动，为观众呈现一场跨越时空的视觉盛宴。

Intriduction

Cultural exchange has always been a strong bond in promoting mutual understanding among civilizations. As a universal language that transcends national borders, art carries the spiritual aspirations and aesthetic ideals of different peoples, offering a unique medium for fostering understanding and building consensus.

Amid the vibrant atmosphere of spring, the“Connecting Hearts Through Art–A Sino-American Art Exchange Exhibition”opens at the Yuan Contemporary Art Museum. This exhibition is jointly hosted by the Jiangsu Province Chinese Painting Association and Abilene Christian University, with endorsement and approval from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the United States and the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism. Centered on traditional Chinese painting and contemporary art, the exhibition serves as a bridge for cultural dialogue between the peoples of China and the United States. Through the integration of artistic expressions, it aims to promote mutual understanding and connection between the two nations, infusing cultural vitality into the building of a shared future for humanity.

Though China and the United States are separated by vast oceans, the resonance of art has never been diminished by distance. The profound charm of Chinese painting and the diverse innovations of American art—though rooted in different cultural soils—both reflect humanity’s timeless pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty. This exhibition features more than 80 selected works by artists from both countries, encompassing traditional Chinese painting, oil painting, printmaking, sculpture, and more. Chinese artists use rice paper and ink to convey philosophical reflections on the harmony between humanity and nature through landscapes, flowers, and birds. American artists, from a contemporary perspective, explore the boundaries of materials and form, presenting unique observations of society and nature. These works represent not only a dialogue of artistic languages but also a deep cultural interaction, offering audiences a visually stunning experience that transcends time and space.

The friendship between nations lies in the affinity between their peoples, and such affinity stems from mutual understanding—of which cultural exchange is the cornerstone. This exhibition is not only a showcase of the artistic achievements of China and the United States but also a heartfelt tribute to shared human values.
