新的历史时期,在干细胞与再生医学领域,动物研究所承担多个重要国家级平台建设任务,包括国家重大科技基础设施人类器官生理病理模拟装置(以下简称 「HOPE 装置 」)、器官再生与智造全国重点实验室以及国家级科技资源共享服务平台国家干细胞资源库。
HOPE 装置是国家发改委批复的 「 十四五 」 国家重大科技基础设施,通过多学科交叉,以 「 造元件、组系统、仿功能 」 为建设思路,将建成能在整体水平、人群规模模拟人体生理和病理过程、具有国际领先水平的大型综合装置,为生命科学、药物评价、再生医学等提供开放式、场景化的研究平台,带动生物医药领域变革,服务于生命科学、人口健康和社会经济发展。

Actively undertaken major national research tasks, leading 28 key projects under the National Key Research and Development Program of China, 2 Basic Science Center Projects and 4 Innovative Research Group Projects from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC).
Leadership in Industry Development: Developed a series of foundational technologies in stem cells and gene editing, and pioneered China's first pluripotent stem cell drug, achieving international leading levels. Published the first international standard in the stem cell field, ensuring stable development of the discipline. Actively promoted the transformation of scientific research achievements, securing over 100 authorized patents, and signing technology contracts with enterprises exceeding 1 billion RMB.
Leadership in Paradigm Innovation: Established in-depth collaborations with renowned international pharmaceutical companies, setting a model for international collaboration. Led the establishment of an independent R&D fund, developing diverse scientific research funding and evaluation systems. In this new historical period, the Institute of Zoology has undertaken several critical national platform construction tasks in the field of stem cells and regenerative medicine. These include:
1) Major National Science and Technology Infrastructure: Human Organ Physiopathology Emulation System (hereinafter referred to as the "HOPE Facility」)
2) State Key Laboratory of Organ Regeneration and Reconstruction.

The HOPE Facility, approved by the National Development and Reform Commission as a major national science and technology infrastructure under the 14th Five-Year Plan, follows a multidisciplinary approach with the construction concept of "building components, assembling systems, and simulating functions." It aims to establish a large-scale, comprehensive facility capable of simulating human physiological and pathological processes at the overall level and on a population scale, reaching international leading levels. This facility will provide an open and scenario-based research platform for life sciences, drug evaluation, regenerative medicine, and other fields, driving innovation in the biopharmaceutical industry and serving life sciences, population health, and socioeconomic development.
In line with the construction plan of the HOPE Facility and its cutting-edge interdisciplinary nature, we are now globally recruiting researchers (high-level talents). We welcome talented individuals in engineering and technology who are interested in participating in the construction of major national science and technology infrastructure, as well as natural science talents exploring the frontiers of life and health. The HOPE Facility construction team invites you to join us in fields including, but not limited to, tissue regeneration and organ construction, biosensing and organ-on-a-chip, disease mechanisms and drug screening, digital organs, biomedical instrument development, and other emerging interdisciplinary research directions. Research Support: Affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Strategic Priority Research Programs and the National Key R&D Program for Stem Cell Research; operating a scientific research instrument platform worth nearly 1 billion RMB and constructing another platform worth nearly 3 billion RMB; world-class model organisms facilities, including rodents, mini pigs, and primates; extensive clinical resource cooperation network and translational research platform nationwide; professional technical and management team support providing full-chain services from basic research to achievement transformation.
