前阵子，一位乒乓球爱好者携带乒乓球过安检时，却被告知不能带上车。为什么呢？
这里说的是“赛璐珞”（Celluloid）材质的乒乓球。这种材质燃点很低，根据《铁路旅客禁止、限制携带和托运物品目录》赛璐珞属于易燃固体，禁止随身携带进站乘车。
那如果就是需要带乒乓球回家过年呢？你可以选择绿色环保的醋酸纤维素新材料的乒乓球，这种材质熔点高达200摄氏度以上，可以通过铁路运输。
A passenger was told he couldn't bring his table tennis ball on board the train during security check because it was made of the flammable solid celluloid material. However, there is another type of table tennis ball made of environmentally friendly cellulose acetate, with a melting point of over 200 degrees Celsius, which can be transported by rail.
两种材质的分辨方式也很简单。球面上有标识“40+”的，一般为更安全的新材质；而无标识或标识为40的，则为禁止携带的赛璐珞材质。
Differentiating between the two materials is simple: balls marked with "40+" are made of the newer, safer material, while those without markings or marked as "40" are the prohibited celluloid material.
