夏春秋这名字一听就很有讲究，四季皆有，唯独少了冬天的萧瑟。这可不是随便取的，老爷子原名吴锦泉，后来改名吴耀冬，粤语谐音“不要冬”，寓意着人生要永远充满活力，像春天和秋天一样生机勃勃。不得不说，这改名还真是改出了水平，改出了境界！

想当年老爷子初入演艺圈的时候，那可是个“斜杠青年”的典范。白天在洋行当职员，晚上兼职演戏，妥妥的“时间管理大师”。可那个年代，演员这行当可不是什么金饭碗，为了养家糊口，老爷子不得不暂时放下演员梦，一头扎进了商业的泥潭里摸爬滚打，从酒楼到夜总会，一路做到总经理的位置。这经历，简直就是一部活生生的香港奋斗史！

不过命运这东西有时候就是这么神奇。1969年，老爷子重返演艺圈，成了丽的电视（也就是后来的亚洲电视）的台柱子之一。上百部影视作品，从《摩登七十二家房客》到《肥猫正传》，再到《新包青天》，老爷子几乎演遍了各种类型的角色。虽然大多是配角，但每一个角色都被他演绎得活灵活现，让人过目不忘。

真正让老爷子家喻户晓的，还得是《六合彩》。在那个没有互联网、没有直播开奖的年代，老爷子就是香港人的“财神爷”，每周都带着大家一起见证奇迹的诞生。想想看，多少人守在电视机前，就等着老爷子报出那几个改变命运的数字，那场面，简直比春运还热闹！
